Personal data processing consent and GDPR compliance:

In accordance with the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (general data protection regulation) referred to as GDPR, Poznan University of Medical Sciences, 10 Fredry Str. informs that:

  1. Your personal data will be processed for the purpose of university admissions, and in the case of your acceptance, for the purpose of signing the student agreement and implementation of the learning process and for purposes arising from legitimate interests pursued by the Controller, as well as on the basis of your consent for purposes consistent with the content of the consent granted.

  3. Your personal data will be processed by the University of Medical Sciences for 6 months in accordance with the Regulation of 20 July 2018 – the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 12 September 2018 on higher education as well as of 27 September 2018 changed on 16 April 2019 on studies. If you granted your consent for the processing of personal data for product and services marketing, your data will be processed until you withdraw consent. In the case of your acceptance in accordance with the regulations on higher education.
  4. If your application is processed by one of our recruiting partners abroad (see list here: https://pums.ump.edu.pl/admissions/contact-information.html#our-recruiting-partners-click-to-expand), the recruiting agency will be recipient of your personal data for the purpose of university admissions.
  5. If you will use our on-line payment functionality for application fees delivered by Przelewy24, your personal data will be sent to the entity providing the service of electronic payments - DialCom24 Ltd., 15 Kanclerska Street, 60-327 Poznan, Poland, and to the provider of debit card services: PayPro Ltd - Settlement Agent, 15 Kanclerska Street, 60-327 Poznan, Poland, for the sole purpose of processing and confirming the transactions.
  6. According to the Regulations, your personal data may be provided by the Poznan University of Medical Sciences to entities authorized to obtain information on the basis of the legal Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on higher education and the Regulation of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education on 12 September 2018 and of 27 September 2018 changed on 16 April 2019 on studies and entities which participate in projects financed by the EU.
  7. Your personal data can also be provided to entities authorized by law to obtain such data, such as: the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and Polish Border Guard.
  8. You have the right to obtain information on the processing of your data by the Poznan University of Medical Sciences, its rectification, as well as to its erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and to object its processing as well as the right to withdraw the consent to processing of data, if it has been granted.
  9. You have the right to lodge a complaint to the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection if you consider that the processing of your personal data infringes the provisions of the General Regulation.
  10. The provision of your personal data is voluntary with regard to data processing necessary for admission process, but any refusal to provide such data shall carry with it the impossibility to participation in the admission process.

What happens after I submit the form ?

The on-line application is a step-by-step process. After filling out and submitting the initial form with your choice of study program and interview location, as well as your contact information, you should:

1) Receive an e-mail with login information to the applicant profile interface. If the e-mail will not reach your mailbox within 3 working days, please check your e-mail spam folder. If it’s not there either, contact our admission staff for assistance.

2) Log in in order to:

  • fill out a questionnaire regarding your education, aptitude tests taken and personal statement,
  • upload scanned copies of the required certificates and documents,
  • pay a processing fee in amount of 85 PLN, using the on-line payments module.

3) Having done that, submit the application by clicking on the green “Submit” button and an admission officer will assess your eligibility for the selected program. This will take up to one week. Our staff will contact you to request additional documents/information, if necessary.

4) If found eligible, you will receive an automated confirmation e-mail to inform you that you have been qualified for an entrance interview. You should transfer your interview fee at this point, choose your preferred date and place for the interview. The full list of available interview sessions can also be found HERE. Once this is done, conclude this step by clicking on the “Submit” button.

5) An admission officer will verify, if there are still spots available for your chosen interview session and you will receive a follow-up e-mail to set your interview appointment. After this is done, you will have the option to download and print out an official interview invitation from the system, should you need one for visa application, etc.

6) The interview is the final step of the process. You can read about it HERE. Please bring all the hard copies of your application documents along to submit them during your interview.

7) You will receive an e-mail with a provisional outcome of your interview within 7 working days from the date of the interview. The official admission decision letter will be mailed to you within 6 weeks from the date of your interview.

Processing fee

The processing fee in the amount of 85 PLN (Polish currency) is one of the requirements of the application process at PUMS. It covers the costs of:
  • on-line admission system maintenance,
  • interview preparation - access to sample admissions self-assessment quizzes that will give you a notion of what types of questions to expect on the science quiz as well as during the oral part of your interview.

The fee is not refundable.

Interview fee

The interview fee in the amount of 600 PLN (Polish currency) is one of the requirements of the application process at PUMS. It covers the costs of your personal interview and entrance examination, as well as the costs of all related administrative services.

Refund policy: we will refund 90% of the fee if you cancel your interview appointment at least 10 days in advance, and 70% of the fee if you cancel later than 10 days in advance.
